This red filter instantly improves under water colors by correcting the camera's white balance. Without a red filter video footage will appear too blue or too green.

You will want to use this red filter when filming at depths of 3 to 20 meters. Above 3 meters there is still plenty of red light and you don't need this filter. Below 20 meters there is not enough light and you need artificial lighting.

This is a snap-on filter and it is very easy to add or remove. This is the official red filter distributed by GoPro, the best one available.

Available for the Hero3 and Hero4. This filter is not available for the Hero5.
